Kazak queue

23 May

A trip to London today, but not to see the Queen, rather to go to the Kazakhstan Consulate, and drop Stephen and my passports off. Hopefully I’ll be getting them back with some visas inside.

The Kazakhstan Consulate is located in South Kensington. I arrived 10 minutes after opening, and queued behind about 10 others. This won’t take long I thought. Wrong again Derek! It took 2 hrs, and when I eventually reached the head of the queue, there was one rather over-worked, but very pleasant official behind the glass. All going to plan, I’ll be picking up the passports on Tuesday, which is a whopping 6 days ahead of our visa schedule. This is good, because our visa schedule kind of had us getting the last visa 3 days after the rally started!!
