Tim’s Tale

24 Jun

Hi, it’s Tim here, making my inaugural post on the blog.

First impressions of the car, Not too bad, I mean if it has wheels that turn, an engine that runs, panels that you can't put your foot through and you have bought if it off e-bay for 700 pounds, you are starting out at a good spot. A bit deeper inspections yesterday and it is still okay. There are a couple of things to do before we go. Derek has done a good job of the preparations so far. Still working through the lists, such a hard thing to get the balance right of lots of spare (weight) and having enough stuff (Stuck).

I have found some good accommodation in London, to take me through to the start of the rally. I have a room in a share house it’s really nice, fairly big, has a back yard with grass. The weather is not so bad for England, it feels like an early spring day back home. My flatmates are three South Africans, quite nice people.
