Welsh wash out

9 Jul

It was a day for the ducks today. Southern Wales had three quarters of its monthly rainfall today, and that was enough to fully soak the inside of the Suzuki. The engine was handed over outdoors in torrential rain, so there wasn’t much time for negotiation. It has most of the parts we need, but we are still a few short. Despite the bad weather, the Suzuki continued unabated, with no electrical gremlins to speak of.

This picture is crossing the Severn Bridge, which is a 5128 metre long structure, connecting England to Wales.

There is definite cause for alarm around the fuel tank. On a full tank there is fuel leaking from the main supply line to the engine, and this will certainly require some attention when we get back to the workshop. As you can imagine, it’s having a detrimental effect on fuel consumption and driver nerves.

On the plus side, Tim picked his passport up from the Kazakhstan Consulate today. That’s his last visa!
