Trouble in Paradise!
2 JulDouble Trouble, but nothing for us to panic about just yet.
In Sydney, Australia – Stephen’s passport is about 5 days late returning from the Ukrainian Embassy. Just when it looked like we were okay for visas! There is only 2 weeks until his flight to London, and he still has the potentially troublesome Russian visa remaining.
...and much more depressing:
In Ulan Bator, Mongolia – Four people have been killed and a state of emergency declared. The country’s elections were held on Sunday. You can read more about this on the BBC website at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7484632.stm
On the car front, we’re trying to purchase a second hand engine to strip for spares. Our car has electronic ignition, and if one of those electrical boxes fails, there will be nothing we can do other than wait for a replacement part. This has been in the wings for a while, and I even bought one on Ebay for 5 pounds, only to discover it was the wrong one! Now it’s less than 3 weeks away, and we rather desperately need to get it sorted.
On another note, the post for 13/6/08 has been revised, due to complaints about the inaccuracy of it’s content.
