Visas, been there done that!
11 JulStephen’s passport has returned victorious from the Russian Embassy in Canberra. With five business days until we leave Hyde Park, Team Mongolmania’s visas are complete!
Tim and I reviewed the spares list, and I took a trip into Banbury to try and pick up what was missing. Once again Gary at Frenco Auto Factors came to the party, giving us great prices on automotive products.
Speedy Hire in Banbury also provided us with a couple of free D-shackles, which we’ll need to connect the snatch rope to our car when towing or being towed. In addition we came away with a Speedy sticker for the car, although such a sticker on our SJ is a bit of a contradiction.
With 7 days to go, we’re in okay shape. The car has some problems which hopefully we’ll have fixed by Tuesday. We have all of our equipment purchased and delivered. We’re short a few spares, but we can go without them if we have to, we’ll just whittle them out of wood if necessary!
